András Szekeres MD PhD
"András Szekeres was born in Szolnok, Hungary in 1958. He obtained his MD diploma at the Medical University in Szeged in 1982. In 1988 he specialized in Internal Medicine, in 1992 in Nuclear Medicine and in 1999 in Clinicopharmacology. In 2000 he received a PhD degree in Clinicopharmacology. In 2006 he became a Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (DSc) in Clinicopharmacology. His research interests focus on Praesenility and Alzheimer’s disease. Currently he is the head of the Department of Oncological Rehabilitation at the Mátra Health Institute. András Szekeres has made several hundred fractal pictures since 1996, that mathematical formula drawn up by Benoit Mandelbrot, and. generates these pictures based on a principle. His work with tomograhic images led him to fractal art. In 1999 he with Alföldi Róbert the illustrious with a Hungary actor and a director exhibited in the art gallery, „Műcsarnok”, then in 2002 he had a solo exhibition at the Vigadó Gallery, in 2004 he exhibited in the Ernst Museum. (all in Budapest). For him fractal pictures show the universality, uniqueness and mysterious dynamics of human existence. András Szekeres' fractal pictures are born through specific means of creation of the infinite order of logic, movement and freedom. They document the birth of beauty, vulnerability, playfulness and power within the coordinates of time and space."
